Portland International Jetport (PWM) is Maine’s primary commercial airport, located about 10 minutes from downtown Portland.
If you're flying into southern Maine, renting a vehicle is typically the most practical way to travel beyond the city center.
Here’s what to know before you arrive.

Portland International Jetport (PWM) is a compact and easy-to-navigate airport, making vehicle pickup straightforward for arriving travelers.
After deplaning, proceed to baggage claim on the main level. From there, follow signage for Parking Garage / Hourly Parking. The Hourly Parking garage is directly adjacent to the terminal and accessible via a short walk.
Luxe Car Share vehicles are coordinated for pickup in the Hourly Parking section of the airport garage, which is right across the street when exiting baggage claim area.
To access the garage:
• Follow signs for “Parking Garage” after exiting baggage claim
• Cross Industrial Parkway (main road)
• Proceed to the Hourly Parking level as instructed prior to arrival
Because PWM is smaller than most metro airports, walking distances are short and clearly marked. From baggage claim to the garage typically takes only a few minutes.
Pickup instructions, including parking row and vehicle location are provided before arrival via Turo app to ensure a smooth and efficient transition from plane to vehicle.
